Whizz
Kid
Equi-Ads England & Wales, August 2002
It
was because of a challenge that I ended up with Woody a 13
week old scatty, black lurcher pup. It is said that lurchers
are only good for speed and that they cannot be trained to
use their brains as well as their legs. Readers will know
by now that I jump to the defence of all animals so, when
this was said about Woody, "I bet I can!" was my response.
Two
days later a tall thin Woody was on my doorstep with a tail
that wagged so fast that all you saw was a blur. He is not
drop dead gorgeous, he is not even pretty but he reminds me
of Jim Davidson. He is not handsome or suave but he makes
me laugh and is very likeable. I am not sure Mr. Davidson
will like being compared to a lurcher but they both 'speed'
and Woody is a ladies man.
My
husband says I have bitten off more than I can chew this time
and if Woody does a display with one of the horses by September
2003 it will be a miracle. If you see me at shows looking
worn out it means I have just spent the last hour or so with
Woody.
I
will have to cut this short as I am off to Buckingham RDA.
It is their 25th Anniversary Show and they have kindly asked
two of my horses and one of the dogs to join in the fun.
I
do not think they are ready for Woody yet so he will stay
at home and have my husband up at the crack of dawn waiting
for my phone call - yes I am one of those crazy women who
talk to their dogs down the phone. Please wish me all the
best with Woody I'll need it.
