Pride
And Prejudice
Equi-Ads England & Wales, November 2001
Suerte
is my pride and joy. When I bought him at 14 months I was
faced with much prejudice. Many said he was a 'Roman-nosed
weed' and would amount to nothing. Well I am glad to say he
has proved them all wrong, the ‘weed' has grown into the noblest
of oaks.
He
was lively as a youngster and this has never left him, as
many of my equestrian neighbours will testify, but his enthusiasm
is beyond belief. This little horse has a heart of pure gold
and no amount of money could ever persuade me to part with
him. I think it would break his heart to be separated from
me and I know my heart would be broken. This incredible enthusiasm
can sometimes be his downfall as he tries so hard to be like
the schoolmaster and at shows Suerte is forever trying to
knock the king from his throne.
I
have good relationships with all my horses but no bond is
as strong as the one I have with Suerte. So, if you feel downhearted
and life is getting you down, I suggest you come along and
see my noble Suerte in action. If he does not lift your spirits
nothing will. Now and again when we ride into a ring I could
swear he has eight legs and it is hard to keep track of his
hooves but he makes people laugh. His ‘can-can' routine is
all his own choreography and is a crowd pleaser. He settles
down after a minute or two, though, and when he concentrates
the results are spectacular.
As
you can see I cannot praise Suerte enough, come along and
judge for yourself and remember to let me know what you think.
Suerte can be seen on our video of 2001 displays which are
now available, call 01420 478106. Good luck and good health.
Be
back soon, Kuchina.
