Name The Foal Contest
Bourdon Herald, Friday 17 October 2003

A local trainer is offering a free tour of her stables to the Herald reader who comes up with the best name for the latest arrival to her stables.

Equestrian expert, Kuchina Johnson is offering a tour of her Oakhanger yard and a demonstration to the winner of the competition to chose a name for her new born foal. It is the first Andalucian black foal to be born at the stable for 20 years and is one of most sought-after breeds in the horse world. His arrival on 11th September was great news to Kuchina who has been working with horses for over three decades and has put on displays throughout Europe.

The winner of the competition will not only be given a tour and given the chance to look behind the scenes, but will also be treated to a free demonstration of the award-winning show. Herald readers have been told to be imaginative and ideally think of a name which reflects the foal's Spanish roots.

They have until Friday, October 31 to send their entries to Name that foal The Old Quarry, Oakhanger, Hants, GU35 9JH.
